David Fachman The ScareFactory

Founder and President David Fachman The ScareFactory began his professional career in Entertainment in 1984 with the creation of the Concert/Special Events promotion and production firm PromoWest Productions, Inc. As the Company’s Vice-President and Co-Owner, David was responsible for both daily operations and also for overseeing the technical production needs of the Touring Acts performing at the companies concert venues.

Over his 14 year career, David produced a wide variety of more than 250 concerts and events each year, in venues as diverse as intimate 1700 seat theaters to multi-day outdoor festivals attended by crowds of more than 200,000 people.

The Scarefactory, Inc. is a complete service Design and Fabrication Animatronics Studio specializing in creating Haunted Attractions and everything that goes into them.

We are best known for our catalog line of economically priced animated characters, furniture, fixtures, and props. Still, we also design and execute complete attractions of any theme for clients across the globe. To grow and support our clients, we strive to develop over 30 new products each year to provide Innovation – not Imitation – to the Haunted Attractions industry.

Our incredible staff is comprised of Degree’d and Accredited artisans and technicians who meticulously handcraft each and every piece we sell. We take tremendous pride in the unparalleled finished product we provide our customers. Each year, we provide our products and services to more than 500 attractions (haunted and non) around the world, and we look forward to having the opportunity to discuss the role the Scarefactory can play in your attraction.

Since 1998, The Scarefactory has continued to grow and now services more than 250 clients each and every year. Current clients include The Walt Disney Company, Universal Studios, Paramount Studios, Ripley Entertainment, and the Six Flags Family of Parks.

Project highlights include the annual Playboy Mansion Halloween Party, featured attractions in Dubai, Hong Kong, Macau, Australia, Russia, Spain, Belgium, France, Italy, Denmark, Mexico, and several projects in the UK, including the Edinburough Dungeons and Dragon Quest at Alnwick Castle in Northumberland for the 12th Duke and his family.

In 2006, David was approached by The Walt Disney Company to produce over 180 Pirates for the re-imagined “Pirates of the Caribbean” ride and retail presentations at Disney World, Disney Land, Disney Cruise ships, and flagship retail locations.
