The story of Hunter’s began in 1985 in the famous Warmoestraat. Not with coffee, but with a dog. Here, at this famous location near the Amsterdam Red Light District, amid all pussycats, a dog called Hunter’s marked its territory, by taking a well-aimed leak against the façade. The owner of the dog decided that this was a great location and the first Hunter’s Coffeeshop was born. Meanwhile, the territory of Hunter’s has expanded, and you’ll find the famous logo with the dog all over the place in Amsterdam.
