Runtastic was founded by four young men (Florian, Alfred, Christian & Rene) from Upper Austria in 2009. The idea upon which Runtastic is based, stems from the master thesis work of a few of our co-founders who looked into tracking sailboats and then opted for a larger target market… The company continues to be headquartered in Linz and also has satellite offices in Vienna, Austria and San Francisco, California. The Runtastic team is made up of 90+ dynamic individuals from over 18 nations. Diversity and inclusivity have always been and remain a top priority of Runtastic!
