Sylfen develops the Smart Energy Hub, an innovative hydrogen-based storage solutions. Our solution combines batteries, for their fast switching capabilities, with a disruptive technology: a reversible electrolyzer, capable of storing energy in the form of Hydrogen, and rendering it when needed in the form of heat and electricity. The Smart Energy Hub is a modular system composed of 3 elements that are specifically scaled for the configuration of your building and your project:
1- batteries, with their high reversing speed, ensure short-term storage (a few hours), absorbing the local power supply and the instantaneous electricity consumption of the building.
2- a reversible energy processor, working both as an electrolyzer, able to store the surplus of local electrical production in the form of hydrogen, and as fuel cell to restore electricity and heat on demand.
3- hydrogen gives the ability to store energy without self discharge, making energy available over a long period of time. A tank of hydrogen offers MWh of energy stored at the lowest cost, ensuring long-term storage of energy, without self discharge.
