Lemosho route approaches Mount Kilimanjaro from the west, beginning with a long drive from hotel in Moshi town to Londorossi Gate. From there, the first two days are spent trekking through the rain forest to Shira Ridge. The Lemosho route crosses the entire Shira Plateau from west to east in a pleasant, relatively flat hike. Crowds are low until the route joins the Machame route near Lava Tower. Then the route Travers’s underneath Kilimanjaro's Southern Ice Field on a path known as the Southern Circuit before summiting from Barafu. After reaching Uhuru peak then you will descent via the Mweka route.

Day 0: Arrive in Tanzania

Immediate after arriving Kilimanjaro International Airport, Winners Expeditions team will pick and takes you to the best hotel in Moshi town; you will meet with professional mountain guides from Winners Expeditions who will brief inform you on your upcoming trek and conduct equipment check to make sure that you have all the necessary mountain gear. The missing gear can be rented on this day so as to ensure your successfully summit at the roof of Africa.

Day 1: Londorossi Gate to Forest Camp

Elevation (ft): 7,800ft to 9,500ft

Distance: 6 km

Hiking Time:3-4 hours

Habitat: Rain Forest

Winners Expeditions will drive you from hotel in Moshi town to Londorossi Gate takes about 4 hours, where you will complete registration and issuing the entry permit. Then you will continue hiking to the Lemosho trailhead for about 1hour where you will get lunch and then continue hiking via undisturbed forest to the first camp site which is Forest camp Know as Big tree Camp.

Day 2: from Forest Camp to Shira One Camp

Elevation (ft): 9,500ft to 11,500ft

Distance: 8 km

Hiking Time 5-6 hours

Habitat: Moorland

You will take an early breakfast after wake up and you will continue hiking via the forest into a savannah of tall grasses, heather, and volcanic rock draped with lichen beards. You will ascend through the lush rolling hills and cross several streams to reach the Shira Ridge before dropping gently down to Shira 1 camp. The view of Kibo from across the plateau is amazing with very attractive environment.

Day 3: from Shira Camp 1 to Shira 2 to Moir Camp

Elevation (ft): 11,500ft to 13,800 ft

Distance: 14 km

Hiking Time: 5-7 hours

Habitat: Moorland

Soon after wake up you will have breakfast at Shira camp and continue explore the Shira plateau for full day, it is gentle walk East towards Kibo glaciered peak across the plateau to Shira 2 camp and continue to Moir hut. There are variation of walks available on Lent Hills making it to be an excellent acclimatization point and prepare hikers for summit. 

Day 4: Moir Hut to Lava Tower to Barranco Camp or Shira 2 Camp to Lava Tower to Barranco.

Elevation (ft): 13,800ft to 13,000ft

Distance: 7 km

Hiking Time: 4-6 hours

Habitat: Semi Desert

From the Shira Plateau, you will continue hiking to the east up a ridge, passing the junction towards the peak of Kibo, you will change direction  to  South East towards the Lava Tower called the “Shark’s Tooth. We will continue hiking to meet the second junction which brings you up to the Arrow Glacier at an altitude of 16,000ft. You will continue moving to the Barranco Hut at an altitude of 13,000ft for resting, enjoying dinner, and overnight.

Day 5: Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp

Elevation (ft): 13,000ft to 13,100ft

Distance: 5km

Hiking Time: 4-5 hours

Habitat: Alpine Desert

After wake up you will have breakfast then you will continue hiking from Barranco camp  via steep ridge passing the Barranco wall, to the Karanga valley camp site for acclimatization, enjoying dinner, and resting during the night.

Day 6: from Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp

Elevation (ft): 13,100ft to 15,300ft

Distance: 4 km

Hiking Time: 4-5 hours

Habitat: Alpine Desert

After wake up you will have breakfast at Karanga camp then you will start hiking and hit the junction which connect Mweka trail, and continue hiking to Barafu camp where the south circuit will be completed there you will enjoy dinner, rest, and prepare for summit. Barafu camp offers views of summit from different angles and two peaks of mountain Kilimanjaro is seen which is Mawenzi and Kibo.   

Day 7: from Barafu Camp to Summit and to Mweka Hut

Elevation (ft): 15,300ft to 19,345ft (and down to 10,000ft)

Distance: 5 km ascent / 12 km descent

Hiking Time: 7-8 hours ascent / 4-6 hours descent

Habitat: Arctic

Very early in the morning (midnight to 2am), you will wake up start hiking to the summit between the Rebmann and Ratzel glaciers with Winners Expeditions mountain guides for more interpretations. You head in a northwesterly direction and ascend through heavy scree towards Stella Point on the crater rim this is the most physically challenging portion. You will stay for short time at Stella point for resting where you will experience the most incredible magnificent sunrise and you will be able to see Uhuru peak nearly then you will continue hiking toward the approach Uhuru peak the top of mount Kilimanjaro. After reaching Uhuru peak the dream of hikers you will enjoy the fantastic scenery of Kilimanjaro where you will be able to see the parts of African continents with variation of weather conditions, you can take photos for few minutes and start descending to Mweka hut Camp, stop at Baraafu for lunch and short time resting.  You will use gaiters and hiking poles for movement in loose gravel while descending to Mweka camp where you will enjoy your last dinner on Kilimanjaro Mountain and well sleep.

Day 8: from Mweka Camp to Moshi

Elevation (ft): 10,000ft to 5,400ft

Distance: 10 km

Hiking Time: 3-4 hours

Habitat: Rain Forest

After enjoyable resting night at Mweka camp you will have early breakfast and continue descending via wet and muddy environment due to rainy condition at lower elevation but gaiters and hiking poles will make you stable from Mweka camp to Mweka gate where you will receive your summit certificate. Winners Expeditions will pick and drive you back to the best hotel at Moshi Kilimanjaro for resting, enjoying a good meals, celebrating to reach the Uhuru peak and overnight. Then next day they will transfer you to Kilimanjaro International Airport to back to your home country.

Day 0. Arrive in Tanzania.

Day one (1): from Moshi town to Nalemuru Gate to Simba Camp

Early in the morning after breakfast at hotel in Moshi town you will be taken with Winners Expeditions mountain guides to Rongai gate for about 3hours where registration for trekking and entering to Kilimanjaro International Airport will be issued. You will start trekking from Rongai gate to Simba camp passing via maize and potatoes plantation and then mountain forest. Simba camp offers good views of Kenya plains.

Day two (2): Trekking from Simba Camp to Kikilewa Camp

 • Hiking time: 7 hours

After breakfast you will continue hiking from Simba camp to the second camp for short time resting and gating Lunch and you will continue hiking by passing across the Moorland to ward Mawenzi peak side to Kilelwa camp where you will have dinner and resting overnight.

Day three (3): Trekking from Kikilewa Camp to Mawenzi Tarn Camp

After breakfast you will continue trekking from Kilelwa camp via a short but steep climb up grassy slopes which offer magnificent views of all round. Mawenzi Tarn Camp it is enjoyable camp site which is located at the beautiful cirque near the towering spires of Mawenzi peak, also it offer views of undried lake with neither outlet nor inlet. 

Day (4): Trekking from Mawenzi Tarn Camp to School Camp

Day(5): Trekking to Uhuru Peak and descent to Horombo Camp

Day (6): Descent fr om Horombo Camp to Marangu Gate

When arriving in Tarangire National Park we will starting exploring termite mounds with large size. Then you will see ancient baobab tree which contain nut-like and a pulp rich in vitamin c.Baobab tree is the home for bees, owls and bats. The park is comprising different animals such as diverse of beautiful Tarangire bird, dikidik, vervet monkeys, mongoose, buffaloes, large population of elephant, giraffe, warthog, cheetah, ostriches and impala. Day Two (2) Mto wa Mbu to Serengeti National Park

After the breakfast you will be taken through Lake Manyara into the fertile Ngorongoro highlands. You will Cross via Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you will reach the vast open plains of the Serengeti National Park in the early afternoon. Serengeti is famous as home to the Big Five such as elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard and rhino, and many other animals. You will enjoy new wildlife sightings and beautiful sceneries during your game drives as no day on safari.  Depending on the season, you will either stay one night in the central Serengeti and two nights in the northern Serengeti (June, October) or the southern Serengeti (January and March), or you stay all three nights in the central Serengeti (November and December & April and May) at lodge or camp where you will enjoy meals and rest.

Day Three (3) - Four (4) Serengeti National Park

After lunch at a picnic spot, you will slowly take in the direction of the amazing Ngorongoro Crater. This approximate 20 km wide crater is part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is home to over 20,000 animals. You will stay at the Camp / Lodge Ngorongoro on the crater rim where you will be able to enjoy an incredible sunset, rest, enjoying meals and overnight at Lodge or Camp.

Day Six (6): Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

After breakfast, you will be drive down the steep path into the crater. The Ngorongoro Crater is the largest, unbroken, and unflooded caldera in the world which support an unbelievable diversity of wildlife. You will see zebras and wildebeests, you might also spot the rare black rhino and other members of the Big Five. The crater is also home to other animals such as hyenas, waterbucks, bushbucks, eland, and more than 500 bird species. After an extensive game drive and a picnic lunch or at Ngoitokitok spring, you will leave the caldera in the afternoon and drive back to Arusha, where you will arrive in the early evening.

Day 0: Arrival in Tanzania.

After arrive in Tanzania you will be picked with our honest team from Kilimanjaro airport to the best hotel in Moshi town where you will rest and gate prepared for starting hiking safari at Mount Kilimanjaro. You will meet with our professional mountain guider to brief you the general hiking safari and all necessary equipment that will needed during safari.

Day 1: Moshi -Marangu Gate –Kilema Gate –Horombo Hut.

Early in the morning you will be taken with Winners Expeditions mountain guide with your necessary equipment from hotel in Moshi town to Marangu gate. You will spend 45 minutes for registration and gate permit for entering in to the Kilimanjaro National Park for starting hiking with bike. All your luggage will be taken with porter from the Marangu Gate. You will start drive to kilema gate to Horombo hut. You will stop regularly that will give you maximum time to adjust to the higher altitude. For the bikers who are strong will be able to cycle all the time up to Horombo hut. You will have dinner resting and whole overnight.  

Day 2: Full Day Horombo Acclimatization (Horombo Hut – Mawenzi Hut -Horombo).

Early in the morning you will wake up and take breakfast. Then you will raiding via Alpine desert with the best scenery to about 10 kilometers. You will cycling up to Mawenzi hut through small stone and then return to the Horombo hut. At this day you will get chance to see the alpine vegetation for whole day. You will take photo of alpine desert, get resting, and enjoying your dinner  

Day 3: Horombo Hut - Kibo Hut.

Early in the morning you will have breakfast, then continue cycling to the kibo hut. In the way you will meet with trail which is very difficult to cycling. Then you will cross to the saddle which is located between kibo peak and Mawenzi peak. The area is flat that will simplify the cycling, you will take your lunch then descend downhill to total of about 10 km . Then you will continue cycling to the Horombo hut, once you reach to Horombo hut you will drink a high amount of water, get resting, dinner and whole overnight.   . 

Day 4: Horombo Hut - Kibo Hut

Early in the morning you will wake up and take the breakfast. There after you will continue cycling with our professional guide while your luggage will be carried by the porters. First 3km would require pushing and carrying and 7km will offer biking. When you reach at Kibo, you will have your dinner and resting. You will enjoy much at Kibo due to the present of services such as 60 bunk beds for hikers with platform toilet. You will prepare all necessary summit gears without forgetting spare set as well as thermal flask for carrying drinking water.                 

Day 5: Kibo Hut - Summit Then Horombo Hut;

During themed night, you will wake up and take all necessary equipment for summit. You will be taken with our mountain guider and continue climb to Hans Meyers cave which, have the steeper gradient , then you will  take bike to the porters and continue riding down  to Stella point. You will stop for few minutes to rest and continue riding to Uhuru peak which is the top of Mount Kilimanjaro, there you will spend short time for taking photos, viewing different parts of African continent then you will start descending from Uhuru peak to Kibo hut where you will get lunch and collecting all luggage and you will continue descending to Horombo Hut where you will take dinner, resting and you will enjoy overnight.    

Day 6: Horombo Hut - Kilema Gate - Marangu Gate to Moshi

After breakfast at Horombo hut you will continue riding down to Kilema gate via alpine desert and rainforest then continue descending to Marangu gate for check out and receiving your summit certificate, then you will be taken by our vehicles to the best hotel in Moshi town where you will get enjoyable dinner, resting and refreshment time for unforgettable Kilimanjaro hiking safari.

Lake Chala Safari Camp is a beautiful private game reserve overlooking Lake Chala. You’ll arrive there and our guide will take you down to the lake side, through witnessed green flora, with the, blue lake ahead of you. lake chala . It’s a stunning and spectacular area perfect for hikers and birdwatchers, and in season you might be lucky enough to spot elephants gathering at a distant waterhole. Spend the day wandering the paths around the lake or across the nearby savannah, where you’re likely to see baboons, vervet monkeys and blue monkeys as well as (perhaps) the shy dik-dik and graceful kudu,

If you’re feeling a little more active, you can jump into a kayak and explore the lake further. You’ll be serenaded by the present of birdsong and gentle plashing of the water as you row.
