Business Development / Sales Manager

Social Media Marketing is a boutique digital marketing agency with proven expertise in search marketing, social media promotions and responsive web design.

The Role:

The Sales Manager will be responsible for achieving monthly revenue targets selling Digital Marketing Services (SEO, PPC, Social Media, Brand reputation and Web Development). The ideal candidate will demonstrate a pro-active approach to controlling and managing the entire sales cycle – generating relevant leads, qualification and closing. This is a self-managing role but Senior Management will provide support where required.

Duties:

  • Identify and qualify genuine sales leads, maintaining accurate CRM records
  • Demonstrate knowledge of SEO, PPC, social media marketing and web development principles
  • Schedule and attend sales meetings
  • Demonstrate industry knowledge and identify prospect business objectives
  • Prepare presentations for sales meetings with prospects
  • Qualify and report on business and financial aspects of opportunities
  • Brief Senior Management with business and financial information for producing quotes
  • Write business proposals tailored to prospect requirements
  • Negotiation and closing
  • Provide industry updates and prospect insights to Senior Management for improving sales processes

Skills Required:

  • Strong marketing knowledge, preferably online or digital
  • Strong business acumen
  • Tenacious, self-starter and resourceful Excellent phone manner
  • Microsoft Office with strong presentational skills
  • Excellent business writing skills
  • Rapport building up, down and across with colleagues and prospects
  • Concise business reporting of sales pipeline during company meetings
  • Consultative sales approach with short sales cycles (1-2 months)
  • University education preferably in business or marketing will be considered a bonus
  • UK experience
