

Business Growth Programme Assistant
London & Partners (L&P) is the Mayor of London’s official promotional agency. We promote London and attract businesses, events, congresses, students and visitors to the capital. Our aims are to build London’s international reputation and to attract investment and visitor spend, which create jobs and growth.
The Business Growth Programme (BGP) is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) matched by GLA Grant for FDI SME business. The programme aim is to help ambitious SME companies from London’s technology, creative industries, media, telecoms and life sciences sectors to develop and grow their opportunities in London.
We're currently looking for an individual to join our programme, working closely with the BGP Programme Manager, the BGP Project Officer and the rest of BGP Team (including Business Growth Managers) to support the delivery and expansion of the programme
Key Tasks
- Working closely with the BGP Programme Manager to curate, create and deliver the core workstreams content in workshop/ event format that are a fundamental part of the programme including: Sales Acceleration, Prioritising & Engaging Your Audiences, Raising Funds & Finance, People Strategies and Validating & Improving Your Business Model.
- Provide event administration support - primarily within the core workstreams but also across the BGP team.
- Maintain records, including data entry for client activities on our CRM.
- Support the BGP Programme Manager to develop and roll-out a strategy to identify, manage and engage the BGP & MIBP Mentors across different sectors and disciplines to enhance the support provided across both programmes.
- Support the BGP Programme Manager to manage and deliver the Alumni Community including quarterly networking events, bi-quarterly meet-ups, newsletters and communications, case studies, peer-to-peer buddy connections, etc. Work to integrate the BGP Alumni Community with the MIBP Ambassador network.
- Working closely with the Project Officer to deliver administrative support for the programme including analysis reports on the companies involved, bi-monthly reports for the BGP Lead, project reporting and informal feedback collection and collation.
- Support the Business Growth Managers and Executives in maintaining client files in compliance with ERDF guidelines.
- Realise the benefits of a flexible approach to work in undertaking the duties and responsibilities of this job, and participating in multi-disciplinary, cross-department and cross-organisational groups and project teams.
You'll Have:
- Experience of project-based work.
- Knowledge of ERDF.
- Experience of working with SMEs and/ or startups.
- Workshop, conference & event experience would be valuable.
- Experience delivering reports, analysis, case studies and feedback would be valuable.
- Process driven.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interact with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively across different parts of a team.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office.
- An interest in economic development in London and an ability to pick up new subject areas quickly.
