Business Intelligence Lead

IDAGIO is looking for a dynamic BI professional who is passionate about designing, developing, and implementing solutions that have a direct and measurable impact on our business. 

As our new BI Lead you will work closely with data engineers, data analysts, user researchers, and product managers to promote a data-centric culture across our organisation. 

Your team’s mission: turn data into insights and get a deep understanding of how people use our app to impact the product, strategy, and direction of IDAGIO. 

Above all, your work will impact the way the world experiences classical music.

Responsibilities include:

• Develop a comprehensive BI strategy for IDAGIO

• Drive the design, development, and deployment of our data warehouse and analytics solutions

• Be a good leader: recruit, train, mentor, motivate and manage our team of engineers and analysts. 

• Plan and manage project timelines, resource planning, budgets and interdependencies

• Ensure consistent technical documentation, data availability, and quality

• Investigate, research and evaluate new technologies and data sources for adoption

• Work with Product, Engineering and Marketing teams to translate business needs to technical specifications

• Partner with senior management and all other business stakeholders to understand business requirements, consult on data strategies and provide tactical recommendations based on effective analysis

• Plan and implement advanced self-service reporting capabilities to empower business users

• Pursue and maintain relationships within the data science and BI community in Berlin

EXPERIENCE AND PERSONALITY TRAITS WE FIND RELEVANT FOR THIS POSITION

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field

• 2 - 4 years of experience in a similar role (including Team Management), 6 - 8 years in total

• Hands-on analytics leader who can develop high performing teams to meet the needs of a high paced and growing company

• Strong technical background, with deep experience in data and a personal preference for staying up-to-date with the current technology landscape

• Proven ability to evaluate and apply new technologies in a short time

• Strong understanding of analytic/statistical concepts

• A knack for explaining technical concepts to non-techies

• Willingness to get your hands dirty ( ;) ) and dive into technical issues

• Committed to continuous improvement of IDAGIO’s performance by empowering the team through data

• Experience in a subscription-based B2C business is a plus

• Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
