The successful candidate will function as a ‘hands-on’ technical lead for high visibility cloud computing capture/proposal efforts and be responsible for defining all technical aspects of the solution to include the approach, architecture, analyses, technologies, cost and execution.

The person in this position will work with and integrate technologies, cloud management tools and converged infrastructure.

Typical Day Work

• Design and develop network architecture for SDN environment while ensuring all design and information security aspects. Working on the planning of networking, storage and compute resource management in Open stack ecosystem.
• Responsible for planning a technological transformation of Telenor Pakistan network from existing native to SDN based environment.
• Work with vendors and Telenor peer organizations to design, test and implement the new SDN platform and IT applications
• You’ll be instrumental in designing, developing and testing code, solving more difficult technical issues, developing integration elements, building data models, APIs, and open 3rd-party SDKs.
• Track emerging cloud standards including interoperability, security, and performance to realize business objectives.
• Ensure proper evaluation of new versions, patches, firmware and security patches with timely implementation.
• Part of the implementation team to ensure smooth delivery of Infrastructure design with successful onboarding of applications on IT Infra platform
• Plan and drive DR tests regularly as outlined in the company policies and procedures to ensure DR function. Update the policies and procedures as required.
• Process writing to as per ITIL v3 standard to cover process like change management, configuration management, access management, service design to service improvement
• Monitor vendors' release notes and plans necessary upgrades and patches as required
• Put in place process improvements/tools that will result in an increase in the team’s productivity and improvement in the user experience.

Eligibility Criteria

• Education:

Minimum Bachelors in Engineering (ES/CS/TL)

• Work experience:

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the same or relevant position in a reputed company.  Experience in Planning, design, and implementation of Infrastructure (Compute, Virtual Infrastructure, Storage, Operating Systems),

• Certifications:

ITIL v3

VMWare Certified Professional

CCNA/CCNP

• Good to Have

Deployment experience of SAN, NAS and HA Clusters

Previous experience in designing and deploying IAAS and PAAS

Cloud-native applications (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, CloudFoundry)

Functional Skills / Knowledge Areas

• An indepth knowledge of following key areas:
