This role is for you if you:

  • are happy expressing an opinion whilst advising senior executives
  • relish getting stuck in on the day to day

This role sits within the General Counsel’s office, comprising Legal, Company Secretarial, Risk & Assurance. Our team is highly regarded throughout WorldRemit; working together, let’s keep it that way.

  • Privacy compliance assessment and advice on the day to day and on strategic projects, including for product launches, product development and geographic expansion
  • Working with internal stakeholders (such as Information Security, Product, Technology. Commercial and Operations) to deliver against agreed programmes and troubleshoot problems
  • Leading privacy-related education and training initiatives
  • Building and managing relationships with external stakeholders, including data regulators
  • Contribution to team development, scaling, efficiency and improvement

Experience & attributes

  • Demonstrated experience in running privacy compliance programmes
  • Evidence of being a subject matter expert, brining strong technical skills, a quick mind and the ability to assess and understand the business impact of privacy regulation and practice, including on customers, operations and products
  • Privacy or legal qualifications are a plus
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can juggle priorities
  • User friendly, and enjoys building good and lasting relationships
  • Ability to successfully balance being a team player and working alone
  • Ability to deal with large amounts of information efficiently and effectively
  • Responsible, conscientious, proactive, motivated and a problem-solver
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Willingness to learn and share learnings

Benefits

  • Competitive salary
  • Life assurance of 3 times your salary, should the worst happen
  • Pension scheme offering 8% matched contributions
  • Private medical and dental care plans
  • 25 days of holiday plus bank holidays, rising to 28 after 3 years
  • Daily free breakfast, fruit and regular Friday ‘afternoon tea’ drinks and nibbles
  • No formal dress code
