DevOps Engineer

JFrog is looking for a DevOps Ninja to join our global DevOps team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage our cloud-native production deployments (SaaS) running on Kubernetes in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure. With thousands of highly available and scalable Docker-based microservice applications
  • Work with the latest and greatest technologies like Kubernetes, Terraform, Linux, and Dockeron the major cloud providers and more
  • Design and develop tools for managing and applying DevOps principles, such as CI/CD automation and IaC (Infrastructure as Code) on our cloud-based production systems
  • Install, configure, update and troubleshoot our product microservices and tools including databases (SQL and NoSQL)
  • Set up, manage and run monitoring tools for troubleshooting and resolving Production issues
  • Collaborate in a global “DevOps” environment working closely with our Support, Solution Engineering, R&D, QA and SRE teams worldwide
  • Maintaining a knowledge base of known issues and solutions

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years of relevant DevOps work experience on Production systems
  • Hands-on Linux administration level experience
  • Knowledge and experience with scripting languages like Shell (bash) and Python
  • A deep understanding and familiarity with:
    • Networking - Firewalls, VPNs, proxies & Load balancers
    • Web/Application servers - Apache, Nginx, Tomcat, JVM environments
    • Virtualization and Containers - VMs on AWS, GCP or Azure. Tools like VMWare, Docker etc.
    • Storage, any of the following - NFS, SANs, RAID, LVM
  • Other programming languages like Java, Golang and NodeJS - An advantage
  • Experience using and administering software version control systems (Git, SVN etc.)  - An advantage
  • Knowledge of the following: JFrog Artifactory & JFrog Bintray, Build tools, CI servers - A great advantage
  • Experience with Docker & Kubernetes - An advantage
  • Experience with public clouds (AWS, GCP or Azure) - A great advantage
  • Ability to join on-call 24x7 roster (follow the Sun model) and working off routine hours occasionally
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a desire to take on responsibility
