(junior) Backend Software Developer

What will you be doing?

As a Backend Software Developer at Coosto you will be working on our product: a software tool with which our clients make daily decisions based on social media data. You will come to work in one of our three Scrum teams, each responsible for one of the domains of Coosto: Webcare, Publishing or Monitoring. Together with your team you will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of our product, both development and operations.

You will develop new services and help to convert existing solutions into smaller, independent (micro) services. These new micro services can be developed in PHP, Node.js or Python. We have our standards as to performance, security, scalability and high availability, and of course you do too. You’ll explore new technologies and share your insights with your team. You will be working with a modern CI/CD pipeline and with at least several of the following technologies: Docker, Kubernetes, ElasticSearch, RabbitMQ, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis.

What do you need for that?

First of all we are looking for a candidate who wants to deliver highly scalable backend applications and who has the desire and drive to build a first class product. PHP is our biggest language, so you will definitely be working in PHP, but you can work in other programming languages as well. Furthermore:

  • You have a relevant Bachelor or Master degree;
  • You have knowledge of software development and architecture;
  • You are a strong communicator and your English is excellent;
  • You are definitely a team player;
  • You love to learn, work hard and play hard.
