Junior Python Developer

INCOPRO’s primary customer base is in-house intellectual property (IP) lawyers who are focused on enforcing against brand abuse and counterfeiting across the Internet. Our clients come from a wide range of industries including luxury brands, sports, entertainment, technology, consumer goods and more.

About the Role:  

INCOPRO has recently received a large investment from Venture Capitalist funding and we wish to expand our engineering team and is looking to hire a Junior Python Developer to join our team in Caerphilly.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate and resolve application functionality related issues and provide support and troubleshooting as necessary for the development team and clients;
  • Protect company assets by keeping information confidential;
  • Undertake other reasonable tasks as directed and necessary for the running of the company.

Skills and experience

Essential:

  • Computer Science degree or equivalent;
  • Understanding of Python and knowledge of various Python Libraries, API's and toolkits;
  • JSON/XML, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills;
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle and code repositories such as git, including branching and merging flows;
  • Experience writing unit tests;
  • Excellent English language communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability communicate effectively with a technical and non-technical audience.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of Django;
  • Knowledge of using of project management tools such as JIRA;
  • Knowledge with Celery;
  • Web-scraping experience using Python and associated libraries/toolkits and / or Selenium;
  • RESTful web service development;
  • Understanding of how to write maintainable code and the importance of testing;
  • Comfortable with collaborative tools such as wikis and basic ticket tracking systems.
