Job Description

We are currently looking for a Unix Systems Administrator and a Infrastructure DevOps to complete our Online Gaming Infrastructure team. Reports directly to the Asia Tech Lead, who is based in Tokyo. The core activities will be working with Linux distributions including:

  • Responsible for maintenance of online gaming infrastructure, both on-prem and cloud based systems
  • Optimizing and maintaining the automated infrastructure deployment pipeline
  • Provide troubleshooting assistance to development teams
  • Improve overall up-time and reliability of the infrastructure

From the beginning of your adventure with us, you will be tasked with:

  • Support of the online gaming platform and associated tools and services
  • Improvement of automation tools
  • Troubleshooting, analyzing and resolving issues in a timely manner to ensure business continuity
  • Performing routine, periodic and proactive maintenance and security checks
  • Providing technical support to internal teams worldwide (level 2/3)
  • Executing the priorities given to him/her
  • Creating and maintaining documentation
  • Evaluating new products and software to improve the online platform
  • Responding to alerts
  • Being on-call as a single point of contact for the team during off-hours

Qualifications

Required Skills and Attributes:

  • Ability to communicate in English (written excellent, spoken good)
  • Proficient in common Linux-based system administration tasks with 2 years of experience in a high-volume, critical production environment together with an emphasis on supporting production web and database servers.
  • Knowledge of AWS (EC2/RDS/S3)
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes
  • Git/Svn/GitLab
  • Proficient in Bash scripting
  • Familiar with monitoring via Prometheus
  • Basic knowledge of MySQL
  • Configuration management (Puppet)

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of basic networking troubleshooting tools
