We are looking for a Digital Mockup Mechanical Engineer who will make sure our assembly process is feasible and support all departments' activities. In this position, we are looking for someone who will be able to predict possible problems and plan ahead to avoid them as well as effectively deal with emerging problems. We expect the candidate to be organized and methodical, has great communication skills and willingness to cooperate with other departments.
1. Responsibilities:
- Help for Control of department budget and resource planning
- Maintain company library for standardised parts and guarantee coherence between PLM and ERP system
- Participate in the management of product prototypes (logistics of parts and EBOMs)
- Participate in assembly process feasibility activity and ensure the coherence between all current projects
2. Main tasks:
- Control of department budget compared to planning
- Creation of Quotation Requests inside ERP
- To create standard parts inside a company library and ERP system
- To create and maintain product prototype trees inside CAD and PLM system
- Check all CAD data for the Vehicle
- Cooperate with our manufacturing, industrialization and production department
- Participate in feasibility assessment of our assembly process
- Ensure correct clearances (check tolerance-chains, etc..) and correct assembly to ensure the project manufacturability on the line and avoid issues
3. Requirements:
- Desirable experience with Vehicle Architecture, Ergonomics and Digital Mockup
- Very good knowledge of CATIA v5 or 3D Experience
- Very good understanding of homologation rules
- Very good understanding of industrial standards
- Bachelor or higher Degree (Mechanical Engineering background)
- Very good knowledge of English (written and spoken)
- Good organisational and planning skills
- Good knowledge of technological processes
