TITLE:                                   Procurement Specialist IV

HOURS:                                 Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

 

 

 

 

 

DUTIES:                                 Support managers in analysis and coordination of logistical functions based on business needs, and build segment action plans. 

 

Assure information sharing with stakeholders and obtain necessary validations for the strategy and action plans.  Communicate the product life cycle action plans, including timing and impact on budgets, to purchasing organizations and impacted functions. 

 

Engage in developing key supplier relationships with key stakeholders, including negotiations and production of agreements. 

 

Support purchasing resources within the category to optimize targets. 

 

Facilitate and support the manager’s leadership of category purchasing teams. 

 

Assist in guiding function internal process changes or improvements (including demand management and bid management). 

 

Facilitate the buyer’s task of the deployment and implementation of actions when necessary. 

 

Understand business requirements which may impact timely implementation of actions and savings. 

 

Ensure buyer’s support on projects and engage in bid procurement, and drive supplier relationships for projects. 

 

Follow-up on supplier performance and internal customer satisfaction. 

 

Contribute to building tools and processes to execute best-in-class purchasing.

 

 

 

REQUIREMENTS:                 Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related field.

 

                                               

 

Two (2) years of purchasing or related experience.

 

 

 

Two (2) years of purchasing or related experience must include: Experience with the IT Hardware market. Experience with global procurement strategy for storage and mainframe products and services. Experience with strategic sourcing. Experience with people management. Experience with change management. Experience with strategy development and implementation over a multi-year period. Experience with budgeting and supplier relationships. Experience with internal customer relationships. Experience with negotiations and contracts. Experience with demand management. Experience with program and project management.
