ThreatOps Lead

We are looking for an experienced cyber security professional to join our expanding Threat Operations team.
At Wandera we build and operate the world’s leading mobile threat defense platform, and our Threat Ops team is at the heart of the action. The team itself is composed of researchers, hackers and engineers. Their work complements that of the overall Wandera platform and our AI system MIRIAM. Examples of the work performed by Threat Ops include:

• Threat Analysis. After a new zero day malware has been detected and classed by MIRIAM, the Threat Ops team perform deeper analysis to understand the exact behaviour of the threat ensuring we provide the best advice possible to impacted users.
• Proactive Research. The Threat Ops team perform proactive security research into emerging mobile threats and vulnerabilities. Their research informs the evolution of the Wandera platform, for instance supporting the design of new detection capabilities and enhancing our training data sets.
• Threat Intelligence. The Threat Ops team are closely integrated with our Customer Support and Marketing teams to ensure that our customers and the broader community is kept abreast of our latest research and thinking.
• Tooling Development. We are rightly proud about our internal security tools, many of which are custom built. The Threat Ops team is responsible for developing and operating these tools.

Working as a Threat Ops Lead, you will take a management role in the team. To succeed in the position you will need strong cyber security skills and to be highly analytical, ideally with experience working with common big data technology. You are likely the sort of person who enjoys experimenting with technology or hacks in your own time. You will be plugged into the cyber community and thrive in areas of technology where others fear to tread. And on top of this you also need to be a capable people manager with strong communication skills, allowing you to both lead your direct reports and also ensure their results are communicated effectively to other teams across our business.
