Web Business Analyst

Overview

This role will help accomplish our goals by gathering/defining requirements and dependencies, establishing scope, helping to define web development priorities,  and testing/validating improvements for release readiness.  By coordinating and communicating across teams, she/he will help guide processes to efficiently deliver website/platform enhancements and updates in support of our marketing and overall business goals.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, has a collaborative work style, is continually looking for ways to do things better and with an eye toward what may come next, is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and results-driven.

What You'll Do

 

●      Understand the capabilities of our web platform and assist stakeholders in making the best use of them.

●      Leverage website metrics and track marketing metrics back to website performance to identify opportunities and trends that can help define improvements in our marketing strategy and delivery as it applies to our web properties.

●      Discover and validate business and technical requirements with input from subject matter experts and stakeholders.

●      Evaluate and present modern trends and strategies to build and deliver a great online experience for our customers, partners, and community members and ideas for how to incorporate them into ongoing projects.

●      Establish web project scope and priorities based on business drivers.

●      Drive execution through the clear definition of requirements, project phases, action items, and progress tracking.

●      Test and validate features and functionality across web projects and work with web team to clearly document defects and track their resolution.

Who You Are

 

  •       4+ years experience as a business analyst.
  •       Strong time-management, multi-tasking, and organization skills
  •       Ability to communicate clearly both written and verbally
  •       Willingness to learn and dedication to improving internal processes
  •       Background/understanding of modern, enterprise website tools and strategies (i.e. Web development processes, CMS software/Drupal, Search Engine Optimization, A/B Testing and website optimization. Message delivery and clarity through digital channels)

 

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  •       Familiarity with project and task management tools - specific familiarity with JIRA, a plus.
  •       Technical understanding of web technologies as well as front & back end development processes and requirements
  •       Experience driving user-centric information architecture and web experiences
  •       Experience developing requirements for web and/or software development teams
  •       Experience and understanding of web and marketing automation tools
