ResearchGate is a professional network for scientists and researchers. It started when two researchers discovered first-hand that collaborating with a friend or colleague on the other side of the world was no easy task. Founded in 2008 by physicians Dr. Ijad Madisch and Dr. Sören Hofmayer, and computer scientist Horst Fickenscher, ResearchGate today has more than 10 million members. 

Because we believe science should be open and transparent, we’ve made it our mission to connect researchers and make it easy for them to share, discover, use, and distribute findings. We help them voice feedback and build reputation through open discussion and evaluation of each other’s research. 

ResearchGate is based in the vibrant start-up capital Berlin. Our international team of 250 people strives to help researchers make progress faster.
